How We Arrange Delivery
Once your order has been processed we will contact you by email or telephone to confirm your order and arrange a delivery date, unfortunately we cannot provide an exact time for delivery as this is at the carriers discretion.
Delivery lead times are determined by the stock status of the door(s) ordered. We state on all product pages the stock status of that particular door and therefore work to these lead times to ensure we can deliver your order in the best possible condition. As an example, all Savoy pre-finished doors are held in stock and therefore are usually available for dispatch within 24 hours. Doors from external suppliers may be subject to longer lead times.
Order Times & Delivery Schedule
If the products ordered are all in stock and ordered before 14:00 the order can normally be processed for delivery the next working day, between the times of 08:00 and 18:00.
In order for us to process your order for delivery next working day all orders must be placed by 14:00. Orders placed after this time will be processed the next working day for delivery the following day. Orders placed between 14:00 on a Thursday and 14:00 on a Friday will normally be delivered on a Monday . Orders placed between 14:00 on a Friday and 14:00 on a Monday will normally be delivered on a Tuesday. However, if Monday is a Bank Holiday, delivery will be on Wednesday.
Our available days for delivery are the working days of Monday through Friday. All lead times for delivery are estimates only. Please ensure that all delivery details are accurate as incorrect details could lead to a delay in delivery. Whilst we make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales, on occasion delays are unavoidable due to unforeseen factors.
Although we do have a range of doors available from stock, there may be occasions where due to demand, delivery may take upto 14 working days, as sizes and quantities may need to be delivered in from our warehouse. Delivery lead times are stated on product pages and you will be notified, at the point of order, by email or telephone of any extended lead times.
Savoy Timber shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the goods within the estimated timescale. Whilst we endeavour to deliver goods within the estimated timescales, on some occasions delays are unavoidable.
The Day of Delivery
As we utilise a national courier service to delivery our goods we are unfortunately unable to provide an exact time for delivery as this is at the carriers discretion. Delivery times are usually between, but not restricted to, the hours of 08:00 and 18:00. It is assumed that the delivery address is accessible by a 7.5 ton Van, if this is likely to be a problem, please contact us to inform us about any restrictions.
Unfortunately, due to insurance restrictions, couriers are only able to deliver items to ‘kerbside’. It is not their responsibility to take the delivery into your home, it is therefore advisable to make sure that there is an able bodied person available to transport the delivery from the 'kerbside'. If the courier is unable to make a delivery because you were unavailable, you may be liable for re-delivery charges.
Checking of Goods
All goods MUST be checked upon arrival for defects, damage, shortages or unsuitability. Notification of any issues with your order must be given to our courier immediately and the paperwork signed for as DAMAGED. All goods must be signed for by a person of minimum age of 18 years old.
Please DO NOT sign for goods as 'received in good condition' or as 'unchecked' as Savoy Timber cannot accept any claims for transit damage in these cirumstances. Please check for defects, damages or shortages on delivery as your signature is acceptance of the goods being received in good and serviceable condition and we cannot accept any claim for these issues after you have signed for the goods.
Planning Your Job
Savoy Timber strongly suggest you DO NOT book any trade person to complete a job involving goods ordered from us, until all parts of your order have been received in good order. We cannot accept any liability for any costs incurred due to damages, defects, faults or issues with goods in transit.
If one of our products is out of stock, the stock status on our website will state indicate this. It may be possible to still order the product and we will dispatch the goods when they come into stock.
Refund and Returns Policy
All goods must be checked upon arrival for defects, damage or unsuitability. We will not refund any payment if the goods have been fitted by you or your tradesman prior to you discovering the fault, please check before any work is carried out on your items, commencing work will be considered as acceptance of goods regardless of who commenced the work.
All damages or shortages must be expressed to us in writing, preferably by e-mail within 48 hours.
CANCELLATION RIGHTS:You have a right to cancel, it expires after 7 working days, starting from the day after you have received the goods in question, In this case you will be charged the original carraige charges plus any return carraige charges. However, this does not apply to goods made or altered to your specification, i.e. special order or made to measure items. The aforementioned goods are non-refundable, goods must be returned by you the customer at your expense in the condition they were received. Cancellation must be in writing, email preferred. You must take reasonable care of the goods. Refunds will be processed once the goods have been inspected upon their return to check they are received back in the condition they were sent out.
Any work carried out on goods is taken as acceptance of those goods, no claims will be considered under such circumstances unless it is a manufacturing fault which could not be visible before the aforementioned work commenced. Goods ordered by a customer that we deliver correctly according to the information given by the customer and then returned or refused upon delivery will be subject to an administration and restocking charge of 25%.
Our liability shall be limited to the original purchase price of the goods & will not include any incidental costs and/or works and/or charges applied by any 3rd parties.
We reserve the right to replace or repair at our option. Delivery charges will not be refunded where the customer has ordered the goods incorrectly. In such cases if exchange of goods is required we will charge again for delivery at the full rate. Any goods needing to be returned through customers fault will be returned entirely at the customers risk, any items damaged during return will not be refunded.
Glass Faults; Any fault within the glass pane or glazed unit which is not visible in normal transmission, in other words without having to look at the glass from unusual angles or which only show up in sunlight are deemed to be acceptable when viewed from a distance of a minimum of 1 metre, this conforms to British Standards.
Technical Errors Due to the nature of internet sites and the possibility of technical gliches and errors we reserve the right to cancel any orders that have been ordered at an incorrect price or size. Doors. All of our doors come unfinished unless otherwise stated. Some of the doors featured as images have been pre-finished for display and are therefore not an exact facsimile of the actual door.
Due to manufacturing process and the natural variability of timber, colours and specification of the products may vary from those shown.
This information may be subject to change and products may be modified, supplemented or withdrawn by Savoy Timber Ltd without prior knowledge.

In the case of Pre-Finished doors, every care is taken in the selection of veneers and other timber components of the door, it must be understood that timber is a natural material and some variation in colour, grain and texture can occur, with this in mind it is possible that the finish may vary from batch to batch. It is therefore of the utmost importance that that all doors are checked prior to the commencement of any work on them.
Important! Any work carried out on a door constitutes acceptance and returns will not be accepted for any reason.
Colours. All colours shown are for guidance only as they can show differently on different screens, we will not take any responsibility for discrepancies in colours, please contact your nearest branch for a free sample service, otherwise restocking charges will apply.
