How to measure your door opening for bespoke bi-fold doors
Simply measure the height and width of your door casing (in mm) as shown in Figure A or Figure B above.
When manufacturing your bespoke bi-fold door we make allowances for your track and the clearance required for the correct operation. All tolerances are to allow for ease of opening and closing.
Please note: Your door will arrive 37mm shorter than your measured height - Don't worry - it's the allowance for your track. Bi-fold doors are designed only for top hanging in conjunction with the supplied track and flush hinges provided.
Space Saving Bifold Doors
For that space saving idea, bi-fold doors give just that, when space is at a premium bifold doors will reduce the amount of space required against a standard door. View our full range in our made-to-measure bifolds category, where you will find many doors exclusively available from us.
Easy and simple to fit all bifold doors come complete with universal track, hardware & fixing instructions.
In some cases you may have a wider opening that is too large for one door to fill. We can create 2 sets of bi-fold doors to fit side by side within the same opening. Both bi-folds will both open into the same room, one to the left and one to the right side of the frame.
We suggest you divide your width measurement by 2 and put this into the order form above, along with the full height measurement. Please then select the quantity as 2.
Please fill out your full opening size in the 'order note' box at checkout and our joiner will ensure that he makes your doors with the correct allowances to fit the 2 sets of bi-folds into your opening.

Perfect ! Review by Dafydd W.
Quality Price Value
I first looked at DIY shop standard width bi-folds, but was put off by poor quality reviews. My door frame is wider than most to allow wheelchair access and without serious alteration to the doorframe (forbidden by landlord) I was stuck until I came across Savoy Timber made to measure.
The quality of materials and workmanship is very high. The door is clearly made in one piece and then sliced down the centre. This gives a pleasing continuation of grain pattern across the two doors. There is accommodation for horizontal and vertical adjustment in the supplied tracking. Doors are pre-drilled on both sides so the door can be pivoted on either side. I would have no hesitation in recommending Savoy Timber doors. (Posted on 02/05/2016)
